The nose is driven by aromas of roasted plums, cassis and toasted coconut with dark spice-driven undertones. The palate is full-bodied, powerful and characteristically dense, offering a blocky, opaque fruit flavor that melds with an intriguing, perfumed, energetic lift. The sheer class and authority of the Hayne site peer through here—albeit in a more glossy manner than found in other varieties—and finishes with a combination of chewy tannins, balancing acidity and decadent dark fruits.
